Hemos recibido algunos emails pidiendo información de como montar una waterline… así que hoy dedicamos el post a como montar una waterline.

La verdad y aunque no es fácil de encontrar pero si tenéis árboles a las puntas donde vais a montar la waterline, dependiendo para que la vais a usar hay que tener en cuenta la altura, puedes montarla rozando el agua, si solo es para caminar o  si la vas usar para hacer trickline, lo aconsejable es 1,50-1,80m de altura pero dependiendo de la distancia entre los extremos ya que necesitará mas o menos altura. Mas que nada que cuando caminéis o deis saltos el culo no debe tocar el agua y además evitar si puede ser que las piernas se hundan mucho en el agua ya que entonces hace mas difícil el rebote, el salto, ya que nos quita fuerza.

Pero bien lo normal no será encontrar árboles en los extremos por lo que tendremos que hacer de manitas…vayamos por partes, primero que nada material que necesitaremos:

– Taladro

– 8 parabolts del 12 y 8 chapas o 8 químicos (y en el caso de poner taco químico hará falta Sikadur-31, ** un consejo cortad una botella de plastico por la mitad para hacer la mezcla)

– 2 Eslingas
– 10 grilletes

Sobre todo cuando compréis el material tened en cuenta las tensiones y kilos que soportan.Ya tenemos el material, primero que nada es buscar el punto donde se quiere montar, normalmente será una cala en la playa, embalses, hay que buscar el tipo de piedra adecuado, las distancias adecuadas y sobre todo saber que hay en el fondo del agua para cuando caigamos evitar accidentes. La distancia va a gustos, podemos hacer longline sobre agua o trickline sobre agua eso como quiera cada cual.

Una vez hemos ubicado el punto donde queremos montar habra que hacer 4 agujeros en cada lado, pero atención, 3 para montar una triangulación que es como montaremos la eslinga y el cuarto agujero será para el backup. Si vas a poner parabolts y chapa no hay mas misterio, tan solo poner atención en cuanto atornillemos la chapa para que se coloque de forma que haga la fuerza correcta.

Ahora bien si lo que quieres es montar químicos, una vez hechos los agujeros hay que soplar bien el interior del agujero, dejarlo bien limpio de polvo, seguidamente hay que hacer la mezcla de los dos coponentes llenar el agujero de la cola Sikadur-31, bien lleno, untar el taco químico con el Sikadur31 y colocar el taco.  Eso para cada aujero, a partir de ahi lo aconsejable es dejar 2 días secar todo. (Aconsejamos ver este vídeo, es para un montaje en escalada pero sirve perfectamente para nuestro caso)

Ya tenemos puestos los puntos, toca montar, en cada chapa o taco químico se monta la eslinga en forma de trinagulación  con 3 maillones (importante hacer bien la triangulación) seguidamente en la cabeza de la triangulación se pone 1 maillon que es donde van los ratchets enganchados… y seguidamente el montaje ya es como si montarás una cuerda con dos ratchets.
